This is a joint meeting of the Energy Sector of the RSC and the British Carbon Group of the RSC, IoP and SCI, organised by Professor John Patrick.

Fuel cell technology - speakers from Johnson Matthey and from Graftech

Hydrogen storage in carbon materials - Dr T Mays (Bath University) and speaker from Nottingham University

Char combustion in flames - speaker from Leeds University

Energy information sources - speaker from Johnson Matthey

Adsorption of dioxans and furans from flue gases - Professor Mark Thomas (Newcastle University)

This list provides an indication of the diversity of the applications of carbon in energy processes and I extend an invitation to you to participate in this meeting which is aimed to stimulate discussion of the various aspects of this topic.
