How to get here

By Car

The East Midlands conference centre has a downloadable map showing details of how to get here. From the M1 Motorway, leave the motorway at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. Turn right at The Priory roundabout (about 4 miles from M1), then left at next roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance.

By Train

The direct service from London leaves from St. Pancras, using modern high-speed diesel trains and operated by East Midlands Trains. During the day the service is at least hourly. Tickets can be booked on-line and collected at the station and, for some off-peak services, printed at home. Visit the East Midlands website or Trainline for further information.

From London Heathrow, take the Piccadilly subway line direct to Kings Cross, and follow the signs to St. Pancras Station upon leaving the platform. The main line station is a very short walk. From London Gatwick, take any train from Gatwick station to London Victoria or London Bridge, and then take the subway to Kings Cross. A direct subway line is available from both of these terminals: the Victoria line from London Victoria train station, the Northern Line (City Branch) from London Bridge.

By Air

If you intend to land at a London airport, follow the details above (see "by train") for the train connection from Heathrow to Nottingham.

From East Midlands Airport you can take Trent and Barton Bus 5b, or the Nottingham City Bus Runway 5. Buses leave from outside the Airport Arrivals hall.

You can also walk to the taxi rank on the terminal forecourt and take a direct taxi to the University. The cost of a single/one way journey is approximately £s;20. Taxis are normally available 24 hours.

Reaching the Campus from Nottingham City Centre

There are buses that connect the train station to the University Park campus conference site. The campus is approximately 3 miles (5km) from Nottingham city centre. The conference buildings are near to the West entrance to the campus.

By Bus
From Broadmarsh bus station (about 250 metres walk from the railway station), catch one of the following Trent and Barton buses, the Rainbow 5, 5a, 5b, 18, 32.

The following Nottingham City Transport services also pass near or through the campus and can be picked up from stops near the Market Square in the City Centre. The location in brackets pin points where they stop near the University: 13/13c (University Boulevard), 36 (Derby Road).

Bus number 52 does not go from the City Centre but does pass through Clifton, QMC, University and then Beeston.

Please note that although the Trent Barton buses give change, the Nottingham City Transport buses do not.

By Taxi:
There are taxi ranks throughout the City Centre and immediately adjacent to the main railway and bus stations. The journey to the campus takes about 15 minutes.
